The ‘Blonde Bimbo’ is Brooke Burfitt-Dons.

The show name was decided by my parents who had absolutely no faith in my ability to deal with the complex recording equipment that is part and parcel of hosting a show on Rare FM.

Amongst friends I have been known to be extremely clumsy to the point where I will always spill part of my drink, repeatedly bash my hip bones into kitchen counters and regularly get my high heels caught in cracks in the pavement usually in front of an audience of easily entertained builders. This ‘Blonde Bimbo’ is a terrible flirt, where I have managed to engineer using my show for interviews to talk to rugby players, rugby supporters and attractive bar men. As a child I learnt a technique to get me through the terribly awkward and embarrassing situations that life inevitably throws at you – giggling!

However, despite the trivial matters and stories I may commentate, my music is deep and meaningful. From the origins of jazz, covering other genres as Soul, Blues and Motown, this is when you truly get to know me and hopefully will motivate and inspire you too. The name of 'Jazz' was first used to refer to music in Chicago circa 1915, according to renowned journalist Dr. Wikipedia and the roots of Jazz originated in the beginning of the 20th century in African American communities in the Southern United States. I aim to play it all from the New Orleans Dixieland music, big band swing, and bebop to more contemporary fusion jazz.

The Blonde Bimbo show also features guests and interviews.
